Israel 2020: Day 6

Did a nice beach walk from Tel Aviv to Jaffa.

It was sunny and warm out.

Lots of people exercising, running, and enjoying the outdoors.

The blue Mediterranean Sea, the white sand, and breeze in the air was lovely.

Even a funny statue of former Prime Minister Ben-Gurion doing a headstand as he used to do in his fitness routine.

Shabbat is a good time to stop and take that much needed walk on the beach. ;-)

Lying Down and Looking Up

So yesterday, we did something that is really fun for me...

It was such a magnificent sunny day out.

The air was slightly warm, but at the same time there was a refreshing cool breeze.

We went outside, and just laid down in the wide open grass and looked up into the sky.

I put some music on for us from the iPhone and just let it all sort of be.

There was a father and son flying this beautiful kite that looked like a huge butterfly.

There was other people riding bicycles and running.

It seemed so freeing to be in the open space under the big blue sky.

And to have the blessing of time and the luxury to relax a little and enjoy it.

Thank you G-d for your mercy and wonderful gifts that you bestow on your people. ;-)

First Cherry Blossom Of The Season

Cherry Blossom in downtown Washington, D.C.

So happy winter is over and Spring has sprung.

Sunshine, cool breeze, so good.

Feels like more. ;-)

Beautiful And Serene Hiking Sunday

So after lunch out, we went for a little hike at Lake Needwood.

Today was absolutely beautiful.

The sun was shining bright and emanating warmth, but the air was cool with a breeze--that is the best of all worlds.

The path was quiet and serene except for some occasional bikers yelling, "On your left"--might as well have said get the h*ll out of the way--one bike, two bikes, three bikes...okay done.

Dossy and I held hands like newlyweds and just walked and talked along the trail.

The daily stress and worries seeping out and away--and I am just floating with a renewed peacefulness and gratitude to Hashem.

Thank you all merciful G-d for granting us peace--one of the greatest of all blessings--may it spread around the world and last for all eternity! ;-)

Up Up And Away

Had a wonderful time with Rebecca Blumenthal today.

We went air ballooning over Las Vegas.

I was surprised at how large the balloons were and how easy the ride was--didn't even feel it when we lifted off the ground and before I knew it, we were 4,000 feet above sea level.

I shot the video standing in the balloon as it was being inflated--never knew you could do that!

And I took the photo of the balloon with the Vegas Strip in the background--you can see the Stratosphere on the left along with the other fancy hotels and sites.

The view from above was beautiful, the air outside was cool, but under the burners of the balloon we were warm and toasty.

Sheldon Grauberger was a terrific aeronaut and guide today and you could see, completely, the total passion he had for this sport.

He told us how he actually trains others for free--he "pays it forward," since he was taught almost 20 years ago similarly.

The sky, mountains, city, breeze, and peace and quiet floating overhead was so amazing.

I sort of felt like the young boy, Pascal, in the movie, The Red Balloon.

He dreams of a better future and is carried off by the balloons into the wild blue yonder to live happily ever after, please G-d. ;-)

Airing Things Out

Airing_things_out
For the New Year, wanted to share this humorous picture of a greeting card.

Oh baby, it's hot outside, and this lady needs to cool off.

So she decides to just air things out a little and enjoy the breeze.

On what occasion would you give someone this card?

Enjoy! ;-)
