Israel 2020: Day 8

So awesome going to the Bahai Gardens today in Haifa, Israel.

Took the train to Haifa and then a taxi ride up this big hill.

Got out at the top and not sure what to expect.

We go through security...

And then we see this completely BREATHTAKING view of the Bahai Gardens along with an amazing view of Haifa, the port, and up and down the Mediterranean Sea.

The view Extended all the way up to the Crusader Castle in Akko.

The terraced Bahai Gardens were spectacular.

I've never seen anything like this.

We walked down the terraces some 700 stairs.

And along the way were fountains, gardens, and more beautiful landscapes and views.

This is definitely something to see (thank you Hashem for this opportunity). ;-)

Washington Democracy

Nice photo of the Capitol, the Reflecting Pool, and the Botanical Gardens.

Even in cold January in Washington, DC, it is a mighty impressive sight.

Some of the most important lessons for me:

Democracy never ceases as long as the people rule, freedom is protected, and human rights is respected.

Those in power have an even greater responsibility to ensure they do the right thing and maintain the utmost integrity.

We have a lot to live up to!

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend and MLK holiday.  ;-)

Beautiful Bartholdi Fountain

I tool this picture of beautiful Bartholdi Fountain.

This statue and fountain sits between the U.S. Botanic Gardens, the American Veterans Disabled For Life Memorial, the Rayburn House Office Building, and the Department of Health and Human Services (in the background).

French sculptor, Frederic Auguste Bartholdi, who designed this amazing fountain, is the same artist who made the Statue of Liberty.

This 30 feet tall, 15-ton, cast-iron statue sits marvelously at the base of Capitol Hill.

Next to the American Flag, this stands out as another shining symbol of our democracy, liberty, and national strength.

If as a nation we can once again unify, emulating the 3 women figures who are together holding up the massive fountain bowl over their heads, we too can accomplish great feats for the American people and our nation. ;-)

From Cocoa Trees To Honey Pizza

Had a chance to take in the United States Botanic Garden.

Loved going in the greenhouse.

The air was fresh and the flowers beautiful.

The 2nd to last photo is a cocoa tree, which I had never seen before.

It was incredible to me that those pods hold the amazing stuff that gives us chocolate.

G-d's creations are so amazing.

Also, we went for dinner and my daughter had this amazing pizza with cheese, figs, spinach, and honey.

I couldn't have the dough because of my Paleo diet, but I just tasted the toppings, and it was literally like heaven.

I was glad that the taste didn't show up on the scale this morning.

To me the wonderment is how our senses can literally indulge in so many wonderful things almost like the Garden of Eden.

Thank you G-d for giving us life and the ability to enjoy your amazing creations. ;-)
