Tent on Beach
Will look even better once the sparkling lights are up around it.
Sort of like a big jellyfish, but a party will be happening here.
And buffet will be served shortly. ;-)

Nalgene Bottle Lights
What a colorful display.
Creates a little mood lighting for that cool shopping experience.
And inside is a water bottle for every adventure.
Simply unscrew the bottle to change the light bulb. ;-)

Turn On The Donut Light
Like these donut-shaped lights @Dunkin' Donuts.
You can't eat them, but they reminds you why you're there.
Donuts and coffee—make mine a signature latte, iced with some mocha and whipped cream—always yum.
Always, Dunkin' delicious! ;-)

Holiday SHOULD BE Giving To Children's Hospital
While it gets your attention (who sees three pink bears lite up on the street at night?), asking people with a small impersonal sign on the floor to remember to login and make the donation later isn't very effective.
People act on the spot, especially when it's an emotional appeal for charity for sick children that need help.
The children deserve for there to be a way for would be donors to actually give on the spot--where they can swipe or tap their credit card, write a check, or drop some money in for giving.
Later, later, later...and unfortunately, it may never happen for the Children.
Come on--it's the new roaring 2020s--we can create some urgency and convenience and do better than this! ;-)

Holiday Earrings With Pizazz
These holiday earrings have loads of pizazz.
Watch them flash red from ear to ear!
The funny thing is no one else even notices.
What an awesome holiday fashion statement from The Nation's Capital. ;-)

When The Wires Get Crossed
I'm sitting toward the front of the plane...more room, that's good.
But there are a bunch of families with small children and babies...and that ends up being bad.
The flight attendants bring out this contraption to hook up a crib device to a front wall of the plane for the parents to put the baby in to sleep.
But there ends up being one small problem.
The overhead lights are seriously messed up.
This passenger with the baby tries to use his button next to his seat to turn the bright reading lights off--this is like row 10 or something.
But when he hits the lights off button--instead the lights go off in row 22.
And they stay on in his row keeping his baby awake and crying virtually the whole flight.
The stewardesses are going crazy trying to figure out where the "wires got crossed" here.
When they go to row 22 and ask them to turn off their lights--thinking maybe that will turn off the lights in row 10 that is keeping the baby up and crying--but instead that turns off the lights further in the back of the plane in row 30-something.
This was a really bad comedy going on this plane.
The baby keeps crying and crying.
The stewardesses keep running around trying to figure out how to get the lights working where they are supposed to be working.
And the parents are frustrated as hell trying to calm the baby and get some rest on this lengthy, cross-ocean flight.
Needless-to-say, all the other passengers trying to get some rest weren't thrilled at this ridiculousness going on.
The plane got us home, but the electrical system didn't inspire any confidence and kept the baby (and us) up almost the entire flight.
When you think that this was just the lights--oh boy!
Because what if the wires had gotten crossed between something important like the accelerator and the brake instead? ;-)

Happy Hanukkah
Hanukkah is the holiday of lights and miracles.
It has special meaning for me as it was many years ago now on the first night of Hanukkah that I went on my first date with my lovely wife, Dannielle.
When I came home, I said to my parents, "This is the one!"
And so it began...
On another note, many of you are probably aware of the famous miracle of Hanukkah that in the ruins of the Jewish Temple, which had been desecrated by the Greeks more than 2,000 years ago, a single vial of oil was found, and although it would normally only last for 1 day to keep the menorah lit, instead it lasted for 8 days (the time it took to prepare a new supply).
Apparently, the oil supply shocks of the 1970's really weren't that new a phenomenon after all...
Similarly, I recently saw a funny comic that said that the miracle of Hanukkah today is that the smartphone battery that normally last 1 day (or less if you use it a lot during the day) lasts for 8 days.
Clearly, the miracles of ancient times are still fresh with us in modern times as well. ;-)

Rock The House
Alright, this Jewish kid from the Bronx is not the biggest club guy.
But, we had a special event at the Light Club in Vegas and it was pretty awesome.
The Great: the lights, dancers, special effects, and overall venue at the Mandalay.
The Okay: Prefer an even higher tempo and energy from the music for more of the time.
One amazing human element that I saw at The Light was someone in a wheelchair on the dance floor surrounded by his friends, all having a good time.
Overall, I am finding Vegas better than what they advertise...guys, for almost $10B in gambling revenue, you can certainly find a better marketing and branding firm.
As DC is to politics, Vegas is to entertainment, but DC gets all the news coverage (more often bad than good), and Vegas needs something more than Sin City. ;-)

The Tron Cycle
Decked out to look like the cycle in Tron.
Green neon lights under the wheels and engine made this a true sight to see.
When it zoomed down the street, it was really like a science fiction vehicle.
Awesome sight tonight. ;-)
