We Are The 99%!
The too often proverbial suckers under the heel of the power and money elite in society.
Fed phony and biased information to try and turn us against each other and manipulate us to believe and act in ways beneficial to those who want to retain, and endlessly grow, their wealth and status.
Like good soldiers, the underclasses are the pawns in the global games of Power Chess and Monopoly.
The 99% are completely expendable.
They are blind and will follow orders.
The 1% likes them dumb and works hard to try and keep them that way!
Anything, if the rich can get richer and the powerful can get more power.
The schnooks at the bottom looking up, with begging eyes, get the scraps thrown off the table and unto the floor where they fight for a morsel, while killing each other for it.
The elite use the media, Hollywood, polls, and radicalism, so that they can sit up high and mighty and watch the rest of us with a wide smirk of disdain on their fat, arrogant faces, as we drink it all in.
How long will the 99% be fooled and played?
Exploited and even thrown under the bus by the narcissist and greedy 1%.
Where is the democracy in that? ;-)

Homeless DC
And aside from all the prestigious institutions and people of great power that formulate the policies and rules and keep us abiding by them.
This is what I see in D.C.
The plight of the poor, homeless, and downtrodden.
Those that have fallen by the wayside.
People who are down on their luck.
Human beings--that's right human beings--that need and deserve help or even just a chance.
Why does anyone have to live--if you can even call this living--like this a couple of blocks from the White House.
I know there are people all over the world who are hungry, homeless, sick, and abused.
Yet, nowhere is this more stark an example than in the U.S.A where there is such an enormous divergence between "the haves" and "the have nots" and where our values are supposedly bound up with equality, human rights, charity, and kindness.
Yes, we are supposed to be equal in treatment and in opportunity, but we all know that is not really the case.
Sure, some work hard and others are perhaps lucky/blessed, but then are those that are born with a "silver spoon in their mouths" and excel through a tight weave of corruption, narcissism, nepotism, and abuse.
Yet a real chance for everyone, a living wage, and basic dignity and respect should be afforded to all.
Money and power is ephemeral.
Those with it, that abuse it, shall see it pass between their fingers ever trying to clutch unto it with dear life.
Only the way we treat others will last in this world and in the world after.
Everything goes around and comes around.
This is the cycle of life and the lot of those who abuse their good fortune as well as those that harness it.
G-d will judge with His mighty hand and bring to bear the deeds and intentions of those that mock His holy will.
Because His children lay in rags and heaps, while others dance their folly jig. ;-)

They Really Think They Deserve It
Many wield it like they own it and deserve it.
I wonder sometimes with billions of other people in the world without adequate food, water, plumbing, medicine, or a solid roof over the heads, how the mighty can think they are above it all.
Do they look around--do they see anyone else but themselves?
They seem drunk with themselves and what they have--and very overconfident.
Worshipping self and all the honor and materialistic success--they forget where it comes from and what they are supposed to be doing with it to help others.
Yet, G-d and His angels can strike in but a split second.
Those that are high and mighty can be brought low and those that are in the depths of despair can be uplifted.
But at the will of G-d Almighty.
At the top, people may erroneously think and come to believe that they are smarter or more deserving--and so what's theirs is theirs for the taking and keeping.
They think "To hell" with everyone else--they are the little people.
Perhaps, they even come to enjoy squashing them underfoot.
They really believe and savor the power and even think it's forever.
Yet the wheel of life turns and often abruptly--illness, accidents, misfortune...it comes seemingly from nowhere when G-d breaths justice.
How silly of the powerful and wealthy to think they are the untouchable and the forever mighty.
G-d sees the good and the bad in the people--and ultimately, there is no escape from the King of Kings.
Wealth and power are earthly and fleeting, but the will of G-d is all that endures.

Crumbs Are For The Birds, Not The Workers
The rich and powerful capitalist employers hold all the cards.
Like this poster says:
"Which Shall It Be?The capitalist owners enjoy being able to give "trickle-down economics" to the average working man.
Duke: 'If you demand your rights, no more crumbs from my table.'
Working Man: 'Give me my rights and keep your crumbs.'"
Basically, it's just crumbs from the rich man's table.
And if you don't like it, and you want rights, protections, and more...tough luck, and no more crumbs for you!
But the little guy who breaks his back to earn his daily bread, wants his dignity and respect more than the crumbs from the "capitalist pig" taking advantage of him.
Trickle-down is bullshit!
Crumbs aren't going to raise the standard of living for the working class.
We need living wages, social and income equality, and workers rights and protections to keep the little guy from being bulldozed by the rich and powerful.
Certainly, there are many rich and powerful people that are good and generous, but not everyone is that that way.
And we can't have mistreatment of people by those wielding a whip over them.
Yes, workers need to perform and conduct themselves professionally--that is their job.
But workers shouldn't be taken advantage of with poor wages, little to no benefits, and miserable working conditions (including bullying, harassment, and hostile work environments).
Remember that in life tables can get turned and the rich and powerful can become the poor and the weak.
Therefore, pay and treat your workers as you would want to be paid and treated.
No one is so big as to be untouchable by G-d.
Money and power will not save anyone from illness, accidents, disasters, and misfortune.
The only thing that does save people is good deeds, kind words, compassion, faith, and prayer.
Crumbs are for the birds, dignity and respect are for the people!

You Are The Working Class
Today at breakfast, there was a gentlemen working the egg bar making omelettes for people.
Recognizing him, I said "You've been here a number of years?"
He responds, "Yeah, but I want to leave here!"
I was sort of taken aback at his bluntness, and inquired further, "Why, is everything okay?"
He goes, "Not really. They'll only give me work 6 to 7 hours a day, and I can't make a living on 32 hours a week!"
I asked innocently, "Do you have a second job or something?"
He says, "No, this is it," and proceeded to make the next person's omelette.
Feeling sort of shitty bad for him...
Another lady who works the tables says to us: "I won't be seeing you."
I ask, "Why--are you off the next few days?"
She says, "No, I don't come back until next Saturday--I only work the weekends here, and somewhere else on weekdays."
Wondering about this, I say: "So you work 7 days a week?"
She answers, "Yes, year-round!"
After we said goodbye until next time, I looked at my wife grimacing that this women has to work 7 days a week, 365 days a year, just to earn a basic living.
I'll tell you the system is broken.
Shareholders and corporate chieftains squeeze profits and earnings per share out of their companies while the workers can barely get by.
The workers are not part of the companies they labor for--they are merely hired hands who will be replaced in a moment by another minimum wage worker if they but open their mouths to protest one word.
Slavery did not end in building the Great Pyramids of Egypt or in the plantations of the South--the average worker is still just a slave.
Employee engagement and development and "Human Capital" are terms organizations use to make themselves and their workers believe that there is real caring and unity going on.
But we know the truth by how people are treated with harshness, disrespect, disdain, and even abuse--sexual and otherwise!
Yeah, are you really valued or are you a wage slave showered with empty platitudes of unity and caring.
Real leadership is genuine compassion, empathy, and helping people both inside and outside the organization--not just a guise, disguise, mask for making just another dollar cracking the whip on the backs of the underclass.
All people are important.
All people deserve a living wage.
All people are entitled to work with dignity and respect.
All people need to be apart of a system that is fair and equitable.
Care for your brothers and sisters for one day you will be called before them in the court of Heaven and they will speak the final truth to power. ;-)

Pennies From Heaven
She posed for the picture and made sure to line up the top and the bottom posters to get it just right.
It says:
"Not One Penny In Tax Cuts For The Rich"
Makes intuitive sense doesn't it: the rich already are blessed with...riches!
Any more pennies in their war chest is sort of a drop in the billionaire bucket.
With tax reform is on the table now...we need tax relief for the middle class and to grow the economy.
The rich really do not need to get any richer.
Especially with a national debt over $20 trillion already--and not including future entitlement obligations that exceed projected revenue for social security and medicare, which bring the debt in excess of $70 trillion!).
The gamble with this whole tax reform plan is that the $1.5 trillion or so in proposed tax cuts over 10 years translates into a much bigger economic expansion that makes up for that revenue loss to the government and more.
If not, well then Uncle Sam bet wrong and our annual deficit gets bigger and bigger (already $666 billion in FY 2017).
Tax cuts for the rich today and estate tax cuts to pass wealth between generations--when they impact the top 1% are ridiculously targeted to those who really don't need it, and many of the decent ones, like Warren Buffet, don't even want it.
Let's have a heart and help the people that really need the help--let's narrow the growing divide between the haves and the have nots, and move to eliminate the class system that elevates one child of G-d over another.
- While some live in McMansions, others are homeless.
- While some eat steak and drink expensive bottles of wine every night, others go hungry and thirsty.
- While some wear fancy designer clothes, expensive jewelry, and different outfits every day, others don't have a clean shirt on their back.
It's nice to think that some "deserve it" more than others, but we also have to think who really needs it more.
And if the pennies do ultimately come from Heaven (as all blessings do), then let us distribute these with compassion and lovingkindness as we know our Creator would want us to. ;-)

It's Gazillions Baby!
You're still considered sort of a poor schlub!
Even a billionaire is not such a big deal anymore.
It takes at least $2 billion to make it unto the Forbes 400 Richest Americans List.
Further, a recent episode of CNBC Filthy Rich Guide asks who will become the world's first trillionaire!
They say trillionaire as in a number with "4 commas"--never really thought of it that way.
...but it's definitely a big,(1) big,(2) big,(3) big,(4) big number.
Jeff Bezos of Amazon with $90 billion currently in the bank and growing fast is forecasted to be the one who will make it.
So no longer are we betting on which mega corporation--Apple (with a current value of almost $830 billion)--will become the first trillion dollar company.
We are talking individuals with that much moolah too.
So with the median net worth of Americans a measly $69 thousand dollars, it's no wonder that billionaires like Mr. Wonderful (Kevin O'Leary of Shark Tank) calls more than one entreprenuer looking for an investment, a cockroach!
What's a shame is not only the complete social inequity and class system that we have and that continues to grow with those in McMansions and others homeless, but also that so many can't see that what's really important is not the beautiful pocketbook full of money, but the decent soul filled with good deeds! ;-)

Hate Proliferates
Identity Evropa is yet another hate group--this one focuses on people of European ancestry and their website claims, "We are the future."
But whether you come from Europe or Asia, the Middle East or Africa, America or the moon, aren't we all just people at the end of the day.
Who cares whether your black or white or yellow or brown, or what religion you practice, or your gender, or sexual orientation, or whether you lean left or right.
At the end of the day, are we all not flesh, do we all not bleed, have we all not hopes and fears, do we all not answer to the one G-d Above.
Hate proliferates from our farm belts to our inner cities, from our universities to our board rooms, from the gazillionaire to the guy who has to shovel shit for a living, from our nasty national politics to the United Nations, there is plenty of hate and bias and bigotry to go around.
Look to the Heavens, cry a bitter tear, your hatred is your self-destruction.
You will pray with an evil and hate-filled heart and none will answer you.
The living G-d of Hosts who created us and loves all his children will not stand idly as hate and supremacy of one over another presides.
The chains of our affliction, the bullet to the back of the head, the noose and the death camps, the whip, the gas, and the ovens, the hunger, the sick experiments, and the slave labor.
Only G-d is supreme over all and those that seek an advantage on the backs of their brethren will find themselves a fiery hell to contend with.
From just a little gnat to a growing tumor--that is all that it takes to bring justice and re-level the supremacy playing field and teach who is the King of Kings and there is no other. ;-)

The Political Spectrum
Even though the election is over...divisiveness in America is as high as ever, if not at all time highs.
We're seeing it hurtfully in terms of bias, bigotry, and hate all around us:
- Protests, outright hostility, and violence (some sponsored) between left and right.
- Murders of police officers and African Americans betwixt the rise of Black Lives Matter.
- Calls for justice to "Lock her up" and defiant calls of "Not my President!"
- Labeling of people as bigots and racists amidst calls to "Make America Great Again."
- Conspiracy theories of links with Russia juxtaposed with Wikileaks of collusion against Bernie Sanders.
- Powerful political machines, operatives, media handlers, fundraising, advertising, and big data to "get out the vote" for your candidate.
- Gender glass ceilings, pay differentials, and inequality going up against the hope of a first female President of the United States.
- Growing income and wealth inequality of the elites and trade imbalances with other nations amidst Occupy Wall Street and a nostalgia to return our manufacturing, jobs, and main street to America.
Divisiveness of race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, wealth and more are showing up in the positioning of people along the broad political spectrum.
This spectrum spans from ultimate control and dictatorship to outright chaos and anarchy, and with lots of options in between.
So where do you fall on the political spectrum yesterday, today, and how about tomorrow? ;-)

Wiping The Smug
They are almost glowing in hubris and elitism.
They have gotten away with something and they know it and think they are above earth and Heaven.
Feeling better, smarter, and mightier than everyone else around them.
They have built a fortress of minions, money, and power.
And nothing, they think, can bring them back to Earth.
Through deals, cunning, intimidation, and even elimination of their rivals, they survive and thrive growing stronger with every kill.
High and mighty, but G-d sees all.
Arrogant and corrupt, but G-d forgets none.
All humankind is connected and one.
As one sits in the dust of the feet of another.
The wheel of life turns, and the roles reverse.
The next person has the chance to act different and better.
To mend their soul and humbly influence others for the good.
No one should be smug, because everyone serves. ;-)

Exceptions To Every Rule
As in all history, we have a class society--there are:
- The kings and the commoners.
- The lords and the vassals and serfs.
- The elites and the commoners.
- The majority and the minorities.
- The rich and the poor.
- The haves and the have nots.
Or any other number of variations of this.
Recently, with Hillary Clinton and her multitude of scandals, there was some shock that even in modern-day America, she was able to get off scot-free.
And in this great democracy of ours, it was understood to shut up, or else, for not toeing the line.
The message to everyone was clear: while "the little guy" is made to pay the price for mediocrity, there are some people that will always be above the law!
It was funny-sad, because we don't want to believe that anyone can really escape from justice--that it can be beaten--although at times, we just have to acknowledge that justice may have to wait and come in the next world from the true Master of All.
Today, coming out of my building, a dog from a neighbor started jumping (playfully) on my leg and barking--it was sort of hard to get out of there.
The problem with this scenario was that my building doesn't allow dogs.
So out of curiosity, I stopped someone in the building and asked innocently, "I thought dogs are prohibited in this building?"
"Oh yes." they answer, but seeing this lady with the active dog, they continue, "That lady has an exception from the board!"
We sort of all looked at each other, because this was not a service dog or anything like that, and it obviously seemed unfair that for her there was one set of rules, and for everyone else, another.
Yes, there is an exception to every rule...some people can basically do what they want by virtue of their power and money or by who or what they know (i.e. can anyone say lots of skeletons in the closets).
So while the little guy gets locked in stocks and pillories and the key thrown away for maybe the littlest of misdeeds, others are the exception to the rule--and may even become the Commander In Chief. ;-)
