Ferrari Motor Furniture

This was very cool.

The first is a coffee table for the living room.

The second is half of a nice desk.

Both are made out of working Ferrari engines.

The coffee table goes for $50,000.

And the desk goes for $75,000.

I will told that this is a bargain based on what a working Ferrari engine goes for.

In a sense you can take your table for a spin around the block...LOL.

Truly the engine (and not just design of the car) is a work of art.

It merits being a centerpiece of your office or home. ;-)

Dancing With "The Stars"

I took this video when we stopped for a nice Italian coffee at Grand Forno Pronto on Las Olas in Florida.

A good song pops on the speakers, and all of a sudden the waiter and waitress just start dancing it up behind the counter.

The customers are ecstatic and egging them on.

Florida is one of those places where people just break out in fun--it's awesome.  ;-)

Let Me Out Of Here

I took this photo in Las Olas.

This statue of a women in a crate, peering out, is so eerie and awesome to me.

Reminds me so much of Medieval times when people were punished by being locked up and confined in cages or very narrow prison spaces.

Talk about claustrophobia?

Anyway, not sure if she is being shipped out or ready to be displayed, but either way, this lady wants out, I am sure. ;-)

Royal In Red

Took this photo on posh Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale.

First, I thought this lady was asking for a handout with the cup.

But looks can be deceiving...

As I got closer, I realized that was her morning coffee...really!

Must've been some wild night out.

How come I never get to go to parties like that? ;-)

A Richy Rich Reward

Check out this lost dog sign in Las Olas.

Do you notice anything unusual?

Look at the amount of the reward for finding this canine.

---Yes, $10,000!!!

A healthy Teacup Yorkie can run you as much as $2,000.

So this reward is 5x that and this kelev is on meds!

Amazing the meaning of money and dogs. ;-)

Cool Cat Innovation

This is pretty in pink, amazing.

Look closely at this cat.

The cat is made of full sticks of Crayola Crayons (literally).

The crayons are vertical--base down and point up.

It's brilliant rather than using the crayons to draw, the artist used the crayons themselves to put together a colorful cat (I also saw he made a dog and a guitar like this).

Very creative...novel...a different way of thinking.

We need this cool cat thinking, and from everyone, to drive to solutions and for a brighter future--we can! ;-)

What Is The World Coming To?

This sign from a business on trendy Las Olas in Fort Lauderdale...for real.

Pay for the water you drink, the air you breath, and the doings you leave behind.

Money makes the world go round, but what happened to love, friendship, and brotherhood.

It only goes as far as the restroom apparently! ;-)

"Shitty" Advertising

Florida is a beautiful, but sometimes a strange place.

I stop in a restaurant to use the restroom.

Now, I know sometimes people put art inside to sort of spiffy the place up.

But in this (semi-fancy) restaurant's restroom, there was actually advertising--yes, right where you do your thing.

And in one spot, they had this sign from Insite Advertising, Inc. for the bathroom advertisements.

"...Thank you for allowing us to spend this time alone with you. We understand that during your hectic day quiet moments are few and far between..."

Well, this was one alone time that was definitely interrupted and a little less quiet.

Isn't there any place we can go anymore without being bombarded by branding, marketing, advertising, selling, and companies trying to make a another quick buck.

Darn, leave us alone and give us our bathrooms back--I'm not buying from you at a time like this! ;-)

Riding The T-Rex

Rebecca got me on another mini-adventure today.

The T-Rex scooter had only 3 wheels, but packed quite a punch.

We navigated Las Olas and the Fort Lauderdale Beach pretty good in this thing.

So low to the ground, my hand could touch it, and no windshield so everything sort of just flies right through.

It was only an hour, but as we in this touristy-way waved at the passerbys and speed around town next to the other hulking vehicles, weaving and beeping on this crazy horn, it was a fun time and a good memory. ;-)

Like That Scarf

After having lunch with good friends, we're doing the Black Friday thing today.

Found this awesome scarf on Las Olas.

It is handmade and made up of this individual squares of beautiful fabric.

The store also had these gorgeous ties in a similar design.

Prices for the scarf was something like $395.

I admired, but wasn't insane enough to buy. ;-)
