Fish of The Sea

Great fish of the sea.

What an awesome puzzle by Ravensburger.

So colorful, beautiful, and alive.

The sea is teeming with gorgeous fish!  ;-)

Toppings!

The toppings are the best part of ice cream and frozen yogurt.

Nice to have a colorful assortment to choose from: fruits, nuts, candies, chocolates, marshmallows, and drizzles.

My favorite hot, hot fudge!

Sweet is everywhere!  ;-)

Rubber Ducky You're The One

What a variety of Rubber Ducks.

They were giving these away in the doctor's office.

Not quick sure why???

The guy gave me a half a dozen, and each duck is different.

Fun in the bath for the grandchild.

They float and make quack-quack. ;-)

Cheesecake Heaven

So I never met a piece of cheesecake that I didn't like.

This was an awesome display of the varieties of it at the Cheesecake Factory.

I remember my mom used to make a pretty darn great cheesecake (and a lot of other good food)!

I still can see the graham cracker crust with the sweet hot creamy cheese filling coming out of the oven.

Unfortunately one of the conundrum of life is that all the good tasting things are so darn fattening and bad for us.

I think though if they can make fake burgers like Beyond that taste like the real thing, then surely at some point they will figure out how to make a skinny cheesecake that tastes good.

There are still some mysteries left in this universe for us to unravel. ;-)

The Diversity Tapestry

I really liked this sign with the saying by civil rights leader, Maya Angelou:
"We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value, no matter what their color [or race, or origin, or religion, or age, or gender, or sexual orientation, or disability]."

Ok, I added the "or" statements at the end.

But the point is the same and important.

Discrimination, bigotry, prejudice, and bias are stupid.

They are a function of ignorance.

- We learn from diversity.

- Life is richer with diversity.

If everything was in monocolor...if life was homogeneous...if there was only one type of everything, then what type of humdrum, monotonous, and boring place would this be?

Value the variety.  Value the diversity.  Value the differences.

They make us better and stronger than we could ever otherwise be. ;-)

The Power Of One, Many, And G-d

I took this photo at Broward College in Fort Lauderdale.

I like how they took the pictures of the professors, administrators, and students and wallpapered it outside on the facade of the building.

It says, "I am the voice of innovative education and civic engagement for the 21st century."

It's a cool idea showing the individuals and the power they have to make a difference as well as the aggregate of the photos, as a group, displaying that we are somehow all in it together.

We can't just rely on others, and we can't take it all on ourselves...progress is a shared responsibility.

We do our part and contribute to the greater group--it takes a variety of talents to get things done, so we leverage everyones strengths for the good of the team.

- Education is one part.

- Experience is another.

- Engagement is a third

And all these ingredients only come together with divine providence and the good fortune from the Almighty.

This last one is the secret sauce as they say. ;-)
