Beautiful Tutim

Love these strawberries (i.e. Tutim) from Israel.

(Hebrew classes are paying off...)

Large, red, and sweet to eat.

They look so appealing and delicious.

G-d's beautiful fruits (and vegetables).

What an amazing world He has created for us. ;-)

Out of Control Ice Cream

I'm not sure how you control yourself around this Alpaca Ice Cream.

But somehow I managed not to get any...this time.

I promise!

LOL

These are made with fresh hot waffles wrapped around your choice of ice cream and toppings.

As you can see these are pretty big and scrumptious!

Anyway, they have a store in Rockville and I absolutely must stay away from it.

Oh, maybe I just go in once for a taste.  ;-)

Why We Chase Love

Being a heart alone in this world is very lonely, indeed.

Chasing another heart, so that we can pair together makes two less lonely hearts.

Two hearts that beat as one making beautiful music together.

When the hearts are in harmony, we sway and are uplifted flying away into the heavens.

And when the music is discordant, we are forced to retune and to grow wings that we never even knew we had.

Hearts that complement each other, help us face the questions we often fear to ask ourselves.

When these hearts meet, they touch so gently, and like silk they dance a perfect dance.

What is meaningless alone is all of a sudden meaningful with another.

What is too painful to bear by oneself is manageable when shared between two.

And what is joyful is magnified in sweetness when there is someone else to enjoy it with.

One heart chases another until they embrace that long blissful embrace. ;-)

Fav Ice Cream

So this is one of my absolute favorite ice creams.

Soft chocolate swirl ice cream topped in a hard chocolate shell that literally melts in your mouth.

OMG, this is to die for.

This is not something you get every day...it's a special treat.

They have this ice cream locally in the mall, and sometimes I just go there, literally, just a taste of this.

Usually, I get the small and then share this, but even that is too much really.

It is like a meal in and of itself.

So rich, creamy, cold, and chocolatey flavorful.

Who needs caramel (sitting next to it) when you have chocolate!

Love it, love it, love it.

Yum, yum, yum.  ;-)

The Makings Of Cold Stone

Gotta hand it to Cold Stone Ice Cream.

They know how it make it cold, sweet, and rich tasting.

Here they are making the signature Cookie Doughn't You Want Some.

French Vanilla Ice Cream

Chocolate Chips

Cookie Dough

Fudge

Caramel

OMG, it is super premium!

And they make it right there in front of you.

As you mouth waters for it, you almost want to just stick you finger in and snatch a bite.

Oh, the simple, sweet pleasures of life. ;-)

Honey Chicken Delicious

Just wanted to share this amazing honey chicken.

Yes, I know you can't eat it, but you can imagine what it tastes like.

Had this at L'Chaim Asian Cuisine and Steak House in Hollywood, Florida.

Absolutely to die for!

That was a lot of honey over the dark crispy chicken.

It's been a few months and I still haven't been able to get it out of my mind.

That is quite a recommendation I would say.

See you there! ;-)

Cat Nap

What a great place to take a cat nap!

So many gorgeous cats in Israel.

They don't run away either.

So friendly and happy.

Sort of got a feeling like they were old souls inhabiting these cats.

Old souls are very often wise souls.

Cute and wise cats.

Enjoy!

My Contribution To Love

So I saw a casual work friend the other day doting around what looked like his girlfriend.

They looked really cute together.

And this guy is in his 60's and lost his wife a number of years ago to cancer, so I was really happy to see him happy, and playful in love again.

After a while, I took the opportunity to play cupid best I could.

I told her how nice this guy was and how well he takes care of his customers.

I ended by saying how we really love having him around and how it wouldn't be the same without him.

I could see him behind her smiling ear-to-ear--this lady really meant something to him.

When I saw him again today, I asked innocently, "so was that your girlfriend?" and like a young teenager in love, he smirked and nodded.

It was obvious how much it meant to him that I spoke well of him to her.

What can I say, I am really happy to make a little contribution to love--and I am really happy for them. ;-)

Happy Jewish New Year 5777

May it be a truly sweet and wonderful year.

It should be a year filled with happiness, health, peace, prosperity, love, and unity.

May G-d forgive our transgressions, judge us with mercy, and inscribe us in the book of life.

Let it be a year of meaning, inspiration, innovation, exploration, discovery, and ushering in better times for all mankind.

Thank you Hashem for all your everlasting kindness, for safeguarding and keeping us, and bringing us ever closer to redemption and to you.

Fish Mish

I took this video in the aquarium store.

Just found it so relaxing to watch these fish--swimming this way and that with their fish pals in the nice cool water.

In the background is the sound of a little waterfall running into the makeshift pond.

Ah, the life of a fish--if you can avoid the nets and the bigger fish--it's probably not too shabby.

I remember when my mom used to make gefilte fish for Shabbos, especially the sweet kind in a sliced up roll, and it was delicious.

For some reason, I remember calling it fish mish--I think because the fish is ground up--and then boiled or baked.

A nice appetizer--pass the tartar sauce please. ;-)
