How Many Is Too Many?

Interesting sign:

Take Risks Make Mistakes.

And the "i" is missing in Mistakes!

I didn't even take the risks, but I still made the mistakes.  ;-)

Climbing Up, Falling Down

Thought this was insightful.
All paths up are different.

All paths down are the same.

Climbing up is challenges and we all have to find our determination, strength, and skill to make it up rung after rung on the ladder of life.

Falling down is when the sh*t hits the fan and the walls come crumbling down and we freefall into the abyss.

The key as we usually learn early in life when we take our first falls is to quickly get back up (on the horse).

Life is never just smooth sailing.

It's not meant to be.

You wouldn't learn or grow if it was.

Be prepared for the occasional fall from grace, and get your tushy back in the saddle and ride again.  ;-)

The Sniffer Isn't Working

Someone really had a premonition posting this sign before Covid!

The sign says simply:

Smell Me!!

The response to this now-a-days would be the person with Covid yelling back:

I can't smell (or taste) anything!

Now frustrated, the other person replies:

But please, please smell me.

Second person, tries and tries again:

Sniff, sniff--darn, the sniffer just isn't working.

Get out the smelling salts!

Six months later, I still can't smell a skunk in the same room.

What type of crazy pandemic is this!  ;-)

The Cost Is The Cost

Brilliant quote by Sholem Aleichem:

The less you pay for something, the more it costs.

You might think you're getting a bargain by paying less, but in the end, paying less ends up costing you more in troubles and headaches.

The cost is really the cost.

When you cut a penny in half, it still costs you the whole penny!

You can't nickel and dime it to death. ;-)

Watch Where You Stick Your Nose

This was an interesting sign:

We love it when you stick you nose in our business...

Gee, I sure hope this isn't referring to a manure business.  LOL

In short, be careful into what stink you stick you nose in or know when to mind your own business!  ;-)

Two Terms In Office

Funny sign in store.

Limit Politicians to 2 Terms:

One in Office.

One in Prison.

Now this doesn't speak very well of our leadership.

What about the one's that have decades in office, and the time is used for their own selfish purposes and not for the people?

Where power and money is the purpose rather than advancing social well-being.

Where personal and party agendas are the playbill rather than doing what is right, plain and simple.

Where scoring points against your adversary or completely taking them down is the strategy rather than reaching out and working hand-in-hand to achieve our nation's greatness.

We have fallen a long way from what I would imagine the founding fathers had in mind for this great democracy.

Perhaps, the biggest problem is that we have stopped even trying. ;-)

Born or Trained In Crazy

This was a funny sign at the store:

You don't have to be crazy to work here, we'll train you.

Some places they hire the crazies and other they train them to be crazy.

Perhaps, it's a bad culture or some bad applies, but either way they can turn good, caring employees into some more crazies to add to the office's bunch of bananas.

Fortunate is s/he who works in a normal, good workplace and can do "a decent day's work for a decent day's pay."  ;-)

That's Severe

I know in the olden days they would chop off people's hands for stealing.

But this sign in a modern day store in America seemed just a little severe:
Shoplifters will be amputated

The worst part of it maybe is that they don't say what part of the shoplifter will be amputated.

So much for compassion and helping the needy.

L-rd have mercy! ;-)

You Get Your Own Special Table

This was a funny sign on a table a good deal away from all the others in a restaurant.
Reserved for Mr. and Mrs. Social Distance. Thank You.

Wow, for people that are rightfully worried about Coronavirus or maybe they're just hypochondriacs, there is a secluded table for you in the restaurant, so you can still go out and eat and enjoy yourselves.

Mr. and Mrs. Social Distance, you are sitting far away but still part of the living, Halleluja!  ;-)

Stop Child Abuse!

Saw this on a bus in Florida.

It's an important message.
Take Action. Stop Child Abuse.

Children are innocent!

The adults who commit the abuse and trafficking are animals.

If you see something, say something to the authorities.

You may just be saving a child's life.

Protect our children...they are our future. ;-)

We Are Comm-unity!

I saw this painted on a storefront window.
Community, United We Stand.

With all the polarization these days, is this still true?

Unity is literally built into Comm-unity.

Divided, we tear each other apart.

Instead, we could accomplish so much together.  ;-)

Lipstick On A Dog

Interesting business card for Dog Walkers.

Not sure what they mean by:
Not just a lipstick visit

I've heard of lipstick on a pig, but never on a dog!

Playing dress up with a dog?

As they say, only in America. ;-)

Planning Ha Ha

Man Plans and G-d Laughs!
So in retrospect, in 2015, not a single person got the answer right to 'where do you se yourself 5 years from now?'

Where you gonna be in 2020?

Stuck at home for almost the entire year!

But you are a fortune teller and are so smart you should've rolled your dice in the ever exploding  bubble of a stock market.

Oh, that's right, you did!  ;-)

Even Dogs Wear Masks

Even Sophie the dog wears a mask against Coronavirus.

- If giver doesn't wear mask and receiver does - 70% chance of transmission

- If giver wears mask and receiver doesn't - 5% chance of transmission

- If giver wears mask and receiver wears mask - 1.5% chance of transmission

That's doggie good statistics to avoid the Coronavirus plague.

People can learn just like dogs.  ;-)

Controversy, Yet Agreement

In these great times of strife and controversy in this country...

One thing that we can probably all agree on:
Make Falafel Not War

Words to live by.

And to eat by.  ;-)

The Purge

Thought this was an interesting sign someone had in their office.
PURGE the things that no longer bring PURPOSE!

Yikes! I wonder who or what got purged from this person's life recently.

Yet, perhaps it is a good lesson against hoarding and just accumulating junk (things and certain people) along the way of life.

When things have a deeply negative impact on your life (or they're just dead weight), perhaps it is time to consider letting go.

I'm not talking about relationships of commitment (e.g. family), which have a stronger and timeless bond in my mind, but of those that earn their right into your life by virtue of being ongoing positive, productive forces.

There is no blessing in gluttony or hoarding--stay trim and fit, travel light and with what is truly meaningful and necessary. ;-)

We Are Family!

I like this definition of family:
Family means NOBODY gets left behind.

We take care of each other.

No matter what.

My father used to say:
Blood is thicker than water.

It's not just from the battlefield that we make sure to bring everyone home.

Home is where the heart is.  ;-)

Keep The F*** Away From Me

Social distancing is the new norm.

Shaking hands is a no-no!

Even in the park yesterday, they had a sign prominently displayed that read:
Thank you for practicing social distancing. Please stay 6 FT apart.

We might as well all just wear t-shirts or little reminder signs on each of us with:
Keep the F*** away from me!

That about sums it up without putting up a specific distance range. ;-)

Free COVID-19 Cure

This sign was just too great.

Advertisement with the little slips at the bottom to tear off.
Free Cure for COVID-19.
Please take an information strip below

And what do the strips say:
Stay the F**K at home

I wonder why no one took any of the strips? LOL

Like every meaningful issue, we have people on both sides of the aisle fighting it out what is the right thing to do.

And when it comes to life and liberty, passions certainly run high. ;-)

Everything But The Kitchen Sink

Thought this was cute at Java Nation (BTW, they are a better Starbucks!).

A mini sink that says:
Everything But The Kitchen Sink

Truly, that sorts of like what they are since they sell coffee but also wine!

How did we ever come up with this saying about kitchen sinks to begin with?

Like would you ever make an offer on a property, and say:

I'll take it, but you keep the kitchen sink.

There must've been some pretty cruddy kitchen sinks along the way. ;-)
