Flower Petals In Water

Just wanted to share these absolutely beautiful flower petals floating on the water.

G-d's creations are so wondrous and marvelous.

Frankly, I find it hard to comprehend how He made everything so gorgeous.

There are plenty of challenges for us in this world to keep us learning and growing.

But truly, I love that there is some Garden of Eden paradise in this world too. ;-)

Rain Spill On Building

Just thought this was a really interesting photo.

The way the rain splattered down the side of this building.

The water hitting only on top and then trickling down the side like a big spill.

"The rain in Spain falls mainly on the plain," but in Washington, D.C., it falls down the side of the buildings in these weird artistic patterns.

When I was a kid, I remember when it rained, my father would tell me positively and jokingly, "Ah, we're getting a free car wash today!"

Isn't it amazing how G-d made the world where it rains, and provides us not only the water to drink and sustain ourselves, but literally a shower to clean our cities and wash away the dirty excesses.

The ecosystem is just an amazing array of literally everything we need and with checks and balances to keep the goings-on of the world suitable for His children. ;-)

Flower 4 Monday

Just wanted to share this beautiful flower that I came across on the hiking trail yesterday.

I have never seen a flower with pedals of pink and white candy stripes like this.

Like a candy cane or perhaps the outfits that volunteers helping people at some hospitals wear.

It also has these yellow buds in the center, which add to it's eloquence.

What magnificent creations that G-d has bestowed on us to enjoy.

Hope this is a little something to cheer up your Monday and make you even more productive this week. ;-)

To MARS and Beyond

So excited about the new show called MARS (and yeah, it's on National Geographic).

I watched the season premier and it was awesome!

They did this cool combination flipping between the non-fiction of the here and now on Earth in 2016 with all the plans and advances being made to go to settle Mars someday, and the fictionalized future 2033 actual voyage and colonization there.

The spaceship, rovers, colony are all pretty amazing and it seems so real like we're practically there!

Elon Musk (SpaceX) does a nice job explaining the vision and the reusable rockets they are focused on to get us cost-effectively to the Red Planet and beyond.

The imperative is clear for us becoming a true multi-planetary species, so that we drastically reduce (hopefully to zero) the risk of an extinction level event to humanity.

There was a good quote that I remember, something like:

"We go into the dark, so others can follow the light."

The leap forward of us actually making it to and colonizing Mars is so mid-boggling great that just about everything else literally pales in comparison.

Mars is just the first real step...after that the possibilities are truly endless. ;-)

Awesome Drumbeat of Life

Just thought this was such an awesome drum.

On the top of the drum was a painting of a drummer.

And on the side was a picture of a beautiful lady dancing.

It was so simple, yet so eloquently done.

There is something amazing when you can literally feel the art come so alive.

Almost like seeing and feeling the vision of the artist as if looking directly through his eyes.

Our experience her on earth is that of our soul moving and acting in a surreal physical world.

But in so interacting, we leave behind and impact this world with artifacts, and deeds to others, that last beyond ourselves and the moment.

What a wonderful world G-d has placed us in to experience his wonders and to learn and grow.

I can feel the drumming of my heart and the dancing of my feet all along the way.

And even though I don't comprehend everything I am experiencing or the decisions that I must make, in it contains not only deep intrigue, but also genuine surprise and challenge, and ultimately meaning, every step  along the marvelous path of G-d's garden.
