Happy Holidays!
Took this in South Florida this week.
These two guys from Sweden sitting at the pool wearing these Christmas tree hats.
This was just too great to pass up.
As I took the photo, one guy gave me the thumbs up and this was just perfect.
I don't know about you, but they cheered me up even when it seems that the world is otherwise going crazy--in so many ways.
- Politics
- Divisiveness
- Hate
- Fighting
- Injustices
- Suffering
But at the end of the day, it's about the people--and G-d gives us the power to do good and make happy (or vice versa).
This one made me happy! ;-)

See You Later Florida
Love coming to Florida.
Not a far flight.
Sun shines bright.
Water is blue.
Birds, fish, and animals like a zoo.
Nature is peaceful.
Shopping is plentiful.
Activities day and night.
Swimming makes me feel right.
Go to the beach.
Eat a peach.
Florida is the place to be.

Upside Down Flower On Stairs
Thought this was an interesting picture to take.
It's an upside-down pink flower bent over a concrete stair.
And the stem is sticking straight up and out.
The contrast of the live soft pink flower and the cold hard grey of the concrete stairs is astounding to me.
Life can so easily be bent over, squished out, and left for dead in the cold harsh realities of this world
We are alive, but life can be hard.
We fight to go on, but life is sometimes unforgiving.
The bright spark of life seeks to illuminate the hard grey block.
Breath, beat, live...good health is unbelievably precious.
Arise flower and once again stand tall in the glowing sunshine and the pouring rain.
Nourish yourself in the soil of the Earth, give praise to the L-rd as only life can do. ;-)

Beautiful Hiking @Harpers Ferry
Hiking the Appalachian Trail, oh so glorious.
The only photo not shown is the large snake we ran into on the rocks on the side of the path.
My wife screamed:
"S-n-a-k-e!"
And we were running for the hills in this direction and that.
We had no idea where she was pointing to.
It was pretty hilarious.

She captured me doing my laps.
Enjoying the sunshine.
Breathing in the fresh air.
Appreciating the beautiful flowers.
Loving the pool and water.
Thank you so much for this great picture!

Every Time I Go Mexico
First, we went for a nice kayak boat ride around the lake.
Then I couldn't help stopping and listening to this relaxing and peaceful music.
These guys were great--I'd pay to listen to them.
Just a bunch of friends getting together to play beautiful music.
This is life as it should be. ;-)

Solar Eclipse 2017
In honor of the solar eclipse tomorrow, the local grocery store was selling these cool celebratory pies!
Everyone is excited about this eclipse that is cutting a path across the U.S.
The last one that did this was almost 100 years ago in 1918.
It's a magnificent thing to see two amazing and large celestial spheres like this literally cross paths.
We are so small in the realm of these universal things...it's almost funny how big we think we are.
Yet, we have so much ambition and desire to be bigger--to solve problems, innovate, and delve into the depths of the sea and to the far reaches of heavens.
You can blot out the sun, but we'll still figure out all the details on precisely when, where, and which goo goo goggles to wear so we don't hurt our eyes. ;-)

Jewish In Florida
These were three beautiful Jewish things that I saw in Florida in 24 hours.
The first was a billboard touting the wonderful America-Israel friendship and partnership.
"Frontline in the global war on terror. The second were about 20 cans ("pushkas") for collecting charity for the poor in a local kosher Pita Plus restaurant.
Best friend and ally of the US.
Providing religious freedom and liberty.
Thank you Israel for sharing American values."
Have a great shawarma plater (with mounds of meat) and give back to others in need and hungry.
The third was a sign in a discount beachy clothing store with the holy Jewish blessing of Shema Israel.
"Hear O Israel:There is definitely more than sun and surf and vacation here...
The L-rd is our G-d.
The L-rd is One."
There is a feeling of G-d and faith, of charity and giving, and of special partnership between friends and allies, USA-Israel.

Lying Down and Looking Up
So yesterday, we did something that is really fun for me...
It was such a magnificent sunny day out.
The air was slightly warm, but at the same time there was a refreshing cool breeze.
We went outside, and just laid down in the wide open grass and looked up into the sky.
I put some music on for us from the iPhone and just let it all sort of be.
There was a father and son flying this beautiful kite that looked like a huge butterfly.
There was other people riding bicycles and running.
It seemed so freeing to be in the open space under the big blue sky.
And to have the blessing of time and the luxury to relax a little and enjoy it.
Thank you G-d for your mercy and wonderful gifts that you bestow on your people. ;-)

Reconstituting The Water Of Antarctica
So Antarctica is the 5th largest continent of 7 in the world.
It is 5.4 million square miles, and it is larger than both Europe and Australia.
But it has only a temporary population of 5,000 people, mainly researchers.
About 70% of the world's fresh water is held in the Antarctic ice sheet, which is 90% of all the world's ice.
And the ice there extends 7,000 feet thick.
If all the ice would melt, the global sea levels would rise 2,000 feet!
Despite 95% of models over the last 30 years predicting the ice sheet melting due to global warming, it actually continues to expand.
It's a paradox for the science community, but one of the explanations is that as ice shelves break off, they actually forms a protective barrier for the new ice being formed along the main ice landmass.
Even with global warming, the average temperature in Antarctica is still -35 degrees Fahrenheit, and most parts never get above freezing.
So here's an idea--rather than fear global warming, is there an opportunity to use it and advance it, if only we can channel the effects of it for the good of humanity.
The Antarctic Treaty System prevents nuclear weapons explosion there, but wouldn't that be a cool way to melt some ice and get some fresh drinking water for this thirsty planet or even to somehow move to MARS for colonization there?
Also, we could place solar mirrors in space to redirect sunlight to melt the ice--that's either some probably some pretty big mirrors or the dispersion ray of a space laser(s).
The key now is to get the water to where you want it to go and not to destroy by massive flood our worldwide seaboard cities--and that's where a mass molecular transporter comes along.
There is still much to discover and invent, but when it's done, I think we will definitely be heading to Mars and beyond.
Really, we have to, there is no other long-term survival choice for humankind.
And perhaps, G-d placed the survival pod for us right under our feet at literally, the southern most point of the world, Antarctica! ;-)

Tiny Beautiful Flowers
Just wanted to share these tiny beautiful flowers for Memorial Day.
I took this when hiking yesterday in Needwood Park.
Such perfection in what G-d created.
Even though the flowers were very small, I felt a lot smaller next to these.
