Royalty On An Elephant

Wow, this is so regal.

This princess in a beautiful overflowing pink gown.

Riding on a golden throne on the back of an huge elephant.

The elephant with white tusks is covered in royal red robes with a blue, green, and orange emblem of a serpent.

Fairy tale maybe, but this seems so real to me.

I want to wave and jump up and down and say, "your majesty!"  ;-)

Not That Great!

I like this quote from former Israel prime minister, Golda Meir:
Don't be so humble; you're not that great!

Nice way to pop someone's oversized bubble of an ego and tell them to put a cork in it.

Or as my dad used to say:
He's not a big shot; he's a big sh*t!

Anyway, she had a sharp mind (like my dad) and was an amazing leader that Golda.  ;-)

The Red Door

Wow, this is such a cool door.

Love the red.

Love the spikes on the door.

Would like a little tougher handle on this.

But overall that's a door!  ;-)

The King And Queen

Took this photo of these two Chinese porcelain statues.

They remind me of royalty--a king and queen.

They stand so tall, proud, and elegant.

Together on the mantel, they make a wonderful centerpiece to the room.

I like the contrast colors--him in tan and she is white with the accent colors on their robes.

His grasp on the long beaded necklace and her open fan give them a air of motion and life.

Yet, the faces are calm and balanced.

These are awesome pieces of art work.

Don't know what they are worth, but to me they have value of beauty. ;-)

Royal In Red

Took this photo on posh Las Olas, Fort Lauderdale.

First, I thought this lady was asking for a handout with the cup.

But looks can be deceiving...

As I got closer, I realized that was her morning coffee...really!

Must've been some wild night out.

How come I never get to go to parties like that? ;-)
