Check Out Those Rims

Wow, this was some car that I saw in Florida.

Pimp my ride! LOL

Check out those awesome gold rims with this blue "oldies" car.

This was definitely a standout even down there where there are plenty of Bentleys and Lamborghinis driving around.

The owner of the car gave me a big thumbs up when I tool this photo.

Hope you enjoy and Shabbat Shalom!

Tyson's Corner Wall Art

Thought this was cool at Tyson's Corner Mall in Virginia.

Create your own wall art.

People passing by in the mall, just pull over and start drawing with their fingers in these cool colorful shiny sequin tiles.

One way moves the sequins to one color and the other direction to an alternate color.

Some people went up to draw and then took a picture of themselves next to their artwork.

Everyone loves a little creativity (even in between shopping). ;-)

Cool Atom Puzzle

Thought this was a pretty stunning puzzle of The Atom

With sections for: composition, atomic model, thermonuclear fusion, periodic table, radioactivity, positron emission tomography, fission of uranium, nuclear reactor, and atomic scientists.

Wow that's a lot of information for a Puzzle and one very nicely designed at that.

Congrats on putting this 1,000 piece beauty together.

These things make me realize how very much I still have to learn--and in this case, it starts with all these small things. ;-)

Retro Cool Digital Watch

Wow, I love this retro digital Computron watch from Bulova.

I remember when the first digital LED watches with the red numbers like this first came out in the 1970s.

They were quite expensive then!

Part of the computer revolution. LOL

I remember my uncle had something like this and I thought how cool it was--no moving hands to read.

Also, has a little of that sci-fi Battlestar Galactica red (moving) light effect from the cybernetic enemy, Cylon visors.

What's old is what's new.  ;-)

Swimming In Florida

In lovely Florida.

Hit the swimming pool.

About to do my laps.

I got my gear and ready to rock and roll.

Please G-d, we'll spend the Jewish holiday of Shavuot (commemorating when we got the Torah) together here as a family.

What more can I ask.

Happy and grateful. ;-)

Cool Clock in Amsterdam

Check out how the time changes in Amsterdam.

I guess automation hasn't put everyone out of a job yet. ;-)

Black Thursday For Shopaholics

So Black Friday Shopping extravaganza that used to happen the day after Thanksgiving has now turned into Black Thursday mega-shopping on Thanksgiving Thursday.

The huge Sawgrass Mills Mall in Sunrise, Florida is open 10 AM to 1 AM!

The mall was packed with people and the deals were pretty fantastic.

Under Armour was 50% off!

True Religion was buy 1 get 1 free!

Almost every store seemed to be 1/2 price off already reduced prices.

What I liked in this video I took here was the WOW! display around the entire entrance to this Century 21 apparel store.

Watch the whole thing...it is really cool what they did with this frontage real estate for this store.

Great job on the marketing and very inviting!

So lots of compulsive shopping, but not so much turkey today. ;-)

Great Comic Characters

Just loved these adorable comic book characters.

They are originals put together by the comic creator.

The characters are made from colored Perler Beads.

Once the beads are laid out into these awesome characters, they are iron-melted together.

Each of these was advertised for $20 (not the $15 listed at the top of the picture), but we got a deal.

Together as a set, they are very cool, colorful, and fun to liven up any environment.

I have them on a display at home and it's nice to not be so serious all the time, and instead let loose with some creative juice.  ;-)

My New Sneaks

These were my new sneaks for like two hours.

I loved them in the store.

My stylish and lovely daughter helped me pick them out.

Nike bright orange--cool, fashionable.

"Just do it!"

But when I tried them on, I didn't have socks, and had to use the ridiculous thin ones in the store.

The sneakers were snug and I asked for a larger size, which they were out of.

I took the sneakers anyway, hoping they would be okay when I got home, but disappointingly, they were way too tight.

And "the give" that the saleslady said would happen with the sneakers, absolutely didn't.

My foot was being crushed in there.

I think Nike's run small.

Like the look, but not the sizing.

Anyway, saw three people playing soccer in these (or something close to it) the same day.

Orange is the new black. ;-)

Superhero Work Gloves

Just thought these were some really cool work gloves.

"Ironclad Industrial Impact--Rigger Cut"

These were just hanging around the local clothing store.

They not only look like superhero gloves covered in orange, yellow, and black duraclad padding ready to WHAM BAM!

But they also feel that way when you put them on with all the rubberized ruggedized protection.

Hmm, wonder whether these would be good in the gym for weightlifting...

Now who actually goes to work wearing these things? Its probably got to be a pretty "macho" man or women job.  ;-)

Cool Car DC

Who would think you'd find a car like this in Washington, D.C.?

Definitely a standout, you think.

Although it seems like the people crossing the street don't even notice it.

Ah, wake up people!

Anyway, where do you park a car like that?

It's nice to look at, but between people wanting to steal it or deface it, I think it's probably more trouble than it's worth.

There are enough loonies out there...why give them a reason.

Then again, if you tether yourself to it, maybe it's good for a joy ride around the Capital especially before the new tariffs kick in.  ;-)

Super Cool Military Wheels

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) has come up with a Reconfigurable Wheel Track (RWT).

The tires can switch shape from round tires for flat terrain to triangular tracks for soft or rugged terrain in just 2-seconds!

You can see in the screenshot the rear wheels in tire formation and the front wheels changed to tracks.

The agility of this technology makes for better maneuverability and survivability for our troops and their transports and combat vehicles.

I wonder if someday soon, they will commercialize this technology so rather than all season/year tires or snow tires on our cars, we have these gorgeous ruggedized military grade babies.

I for one would gladly pay extra! ;-)

Square Trees

So I never saw square trees until I visited Palm Beach, Florida.

What's the saying:
"It's hip to be square!"

I definitely had to take a doubletake when I saw these.

Wherever we were going, I was gonna stop and get a photo of this.

These trees are almost as if they are from another planet.

What planet would have square trees?

Hope you enjoy it.

Crazy Sink

This crazy water faucet in Florida has no sink basin.

Where does the water go?

Product design takes a new turn, but the water just dish-appears!  ;-)
