Georgetown View

Nice view in Georgetown in Washington, D.C.

Like the stone and red brick, the neat little bridges, and the cool retaining wall.

Have Pinstripes bowling on side, "Church" beer garden on the other, and across the street is an AMC movie theater and a promenade along the Potomac River.

On M Street, of course, is all the shopping. Go crazy!

Lot's of people. Tough to park.  Nice to visit.  ;-)

@Sawgrass Mills Mall

Thought these alligators were pretty cute at Sawgrass Mills in Sunrise, Florida.

Sawgrass with over 300 stores and outlets is the 10th largest mall in America.

And much of it is very upscale--apparently, the economy is very good for some people.

By the time, we got out of there, my head was spinning with sampling the stores and merchandise.

It was a delightful retreat to pass some nice outdoor eateries by the Colonnade with these creative and colorful alligators.

Remember most of this place was built on Everglades swamp, so there are plenty of real alligators to go around.

My favorites from these:

#4 - Forever Glades

#7 - The colorful blue, pink, and orange gator.

#9 - Relax and Rejoice

What are yours?

Not sure, why I took #1--the watermelon alligator--in the other direction, but it adds effect and I hope you enjoyed these. ;-)

Keeping Organized

So I'm in this clothing store...

And behind the cash register is this closet.

The cashier goes to the closet to get something and leaves the door open.

The closet, especially compared with the rest of the upscale clothing store, is really a mess.

But at the top, hanging is a yellow sticky note.

And the note says, "Keep Organized".

The first shelf with some binders isn't too bad.

But then as you get further away form the reminder to keep organized, it gets worse and worse.

Office supplies, hand creams, napkins, sprayers, and more, all sort of thrown in there.

I was surprised not to see someone's leftovers from lunch. (lol)

And then on the door itself are all these taped up reminder papers and old used tape with papers long torn off still hanging there.

I don't think this is the image or brand this store wants to convey.

The funny thing is that out on the floor, the salespeople were working on all the fancy displays and using these corporate design books that show them exactly what to lay out, where, and how.

Then again, what's visible and skin deep doesn't always represent what's beneath the surface.

Like politics, if you knew how the sausage was made, you'd probably never eat it.

Maybe some things are better left behind closed doors. ;-)

Different, Better Than Mad Max

Love this photo of the Orange Porsche epecially at this cool angle.

Ok, this is not a Mad Max black muscle car.

More like a Fast and Furious action racing vehicle.

When I saw this car in front of the new Pike and Rose in North Bethesda (gorgeous by the way), I thought this is becoming more like Miami than typical Washington, D.C.

Aside from the cars, the upscale dining, shopping, and iPic movie theatre (with luxurious reclining plush chairs and alcoholic drinks) has brought this area to a whole new level.

Mad Max eat your heart out or perhaps those of your post-apocalyptic adversaries. ;-)

Orange You Glad I Didn't Say Banana

Took this photo of this very cool looking Orange Fridge.

It actually comes in all sort of vibrant colors including pink, blue, and even "Union Jack."

Made by an Italian appliance maker called SMEG, whose tag line is "Technology with style."

I like technology, and I like design...so this is great stuff!

For home and Museum of Modern Art. ;-)
