Snazzy Men's Shoes

Wow, the red and blue definitely add some snazzy pizzazz to this loafer.

Makes me want to do some walking, indeed.  ;-)

Fluffy Pink Uggs

Nice fluffy pink Uggs for the Summer.

Looks more like a stuffed animal or blanket that you cuddle with.

Can't believe these are actually to wear on the feet.

Feminine and footwear.  ;-)

Justice for Sarah Halimi

Please see my new article in The Times of Israel called, "Justice for Sarah Halimi."

The case of the Sarah Halimi is yet another example of the anti-Semitism taking deep root in France, where rather than ensuring Justice for her barbaric murder, a second French court has now absurdly affirmed a lower-court ruling that the alleged perpetrator Traore cannot be held criminally responsible simply because he was on marijuana! Incredibly, these French justices ruled in this completely nonsensical way even as cannabis is being ruled legal for medicinal and even recreational purposes in more and more countries around the world.
It is inconceivable that a modern, western nation as France (part of the EU, NATO, the UN, etc.) would allow violent, racist, hate-mongers, and murders completely off the hook simply because they were high on some cannabis or for any other lame excuse like that. This is not rational. It is not human or civilized. And it is certainly not justice. Jewish blood is not cheap and Kolibi Traore cannot be allowed to go free. France needs to make this right because Sarah Halimi, a citizen of France, was butchered there because she was a Jew, and letting radical Islamists commit violence and terror like this is a danger not just to the French, but to everybody.

Dress To Express

What a cool cartoon dress!

I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone where something like this before.

But I'd like to!

It seems colorful, bold, and exciting.

The awesome cartoon makes it youthful and alive.

We need to be more expressive, unique, and alive.

There is only one life to live, and it passes too quickly. ;-)

Vibrant Fashion Colors

Wow, what a vibrant fashion display of color at Macy's!

This is bold.

This is fun.

This is exciting.

This is alive.

We're coming from the Covid dead back to the pre-pandemic life!

Take out your stimulus checks and get ready to spend.

There is still hope for humankind.  ;-)

Magical Blue Pendant

Thought this blue pendant was just magical!

Beautiful blue color and love the inlaid design over it.

Middle eastern style and it's a standout!

There is mystery, eloquence, and even some unapologetic sexiness to it.  ;-)

Clip-Clip

So recently I started cutting my own hair.

Uh, yes!

Not sure what made me actually do this...

But it just seemed like I was wasting money at the Hair Cuttery on something that I could do myself.

Also, I remember fondly how my dad used to cut his own hair for decades.

So I gave it a try--that's not me in the picture!

I purchased a simple Wahl clipper and went at it.

First a little tentatively and then more boldly as I got the hang of it.

The best part of the clipper is the color-coded guide combs so I don't completely screw this up.

What I also like is that ability to give myself a little trim whenever I want.

Don't have to wait to get to the barber or to wait on line there.

So far so good, thank G-d--no big hair disasters.

And frankly, I look a lot happier than the guy in this photo. ;-)

My Fun Socks

Just wanted to share some of my new fun socks.

You don't always have to take yourself so serious.

It's okay to let go and just be you.

From Dragon Ball Z to Super Mario, I feel so empowered!

Hope you do too.  ;-)

Happy Sock Faces

I just thought these socks with faces were really cute.

I was tempted to even buy some.

But the faces were on the feet.

So you couldn't see them around the ankle when you wear them.

If you wear the socks without shoes then you can see the cartoon faces.

However, then you also wear out these fun socks

I'm in for fun socks.

Just have to get the faces in the right places. ;-)

My New Sneaks

These were my new sneaks for like two hours.

I loved them in the store.

My stylish and lovely daughter helped me pick them out.

Nike bright orange--cool, fashionable.

"Just do it!"

But when I tried them on, I didn't have socks, and had to use the ridiculous thin ones in the store.

The sneakers were snug and I asked for a larger size, which they were out of.

I took the sneakers anyway, hoping they would be okay when I got home, but disappointingly, they were way too tight.

And "the give" that the saleslady said would happen with the sneakers, absolutely didn't.

My foot was being crushed in there.

I think Nike's run small.

Like the look, but not the sizing.

Anyway, saw three people playing soccer in these (or something close to it) the same day.

Orange is the new black. ;-)

Taking Pride In Your Work

I thought this was a nice necklace.

The lady in the hair salon had a necklace in the shape of a scissors.

I asked her about it because it seemed sort of unusual and neat.

She said, "It's a scissors!"

And then she proceeded to squeeze the miniature two handles, and said, "You see, it actually opens and closes too!"

I could see and hear how proud she was of what she does for a living.

Yes, maybe it doesn't earn as much as some other professions, but it was her job and she loved it.

I think we should all try to take such pride in our work and in doing a great job!

Everyone has something important to contribute and every contribution truly counts. ;-)

Facebook Is Dead!

So folks, here is my absolutely contrarian prediction.
Facebook Is Dead!
Who in their right mind would say something like that?

Facebook has 2 billions users!

Well I am one of those users.

But even though I use it.

I recognize that it is essentially useless and a waste of time.

Yes, there are cute videos and messages and photos on there.

But basically if you're honest, it's mostly a lot of garbage and time sink!

Twitter has a newsfeed purpose.

Instagram has a photo sharing purpose.

LinkedIn has a professional networking purpose.

But Facebook is a glorious made-up fad!

I believe that people are getting tired of the:

- Meaningless, mind-numbing posts of what they had for breakfast today (and every other fart, literally).

- Phony self-branding veneer as if everything is always perfect in their lives (look I'm on another vacation skydiving!)

- Virtual relationships rather than genuine friendships and real connections (I'm fiends with over 3,000 people!)

- The millions of empty slogans, political statements, and impersonal wishes to everyone for every occasion (have a really happy birthday!)

Frankly, I think that people are reaching the point of realization where they want more from the time they spend online.

- More depth of feelings

- More substance of thought

- More reality than superficiality.

Yes, we all need some downtime too to mellow and just laugh a little, but I am fairly certain that the time people are putting into Facebook is not really meeting their true social networking needs.

In the end, we will find out that Facebook is the epitome of the greatest fool theory--where everyone dumps their shit from the day, hoping that there is some greater fool who will superficially lopping it all up. ;-)

These Pants Are In Vogue

I just thought these women's pants were so cool (yet gaudy).

Another standout you think.

A fashion magazine making up fashionable ladies pants.

The covers are bright, colorful, and feature a array of many women and looks up and down each pant's leg.

The pants are a collage of these all.

These pants are probably not for the faint of heart--you've got to have courage to wear these.

Some might say, you'd be crazy...

A ladies next dilemma--what shoes do you wear with these?  ;-)

People Nutrition

This is an risque t-shirt this lady is wearing.

It's a big nutrition label.

And she's wrapped in it!

I'm not sure if this is a gag or fashion statement or even a sexual thing.

Is she advertising that she's like the food?

What was really funny though is by her butt...it says

"Moschino chocolate tastes good."

Maybe that should be a black box warning!

Uh, this is way too much information for me. ;-)

Entering The Oculus Rift Matrix

So this was my first time actually experiencing virtual reality.

Using Oculus Rift and climbing this mountain...

I've got to say how incredibly fabulioso this was!

It is absolutely an immersive and real experience.

When I looked over the side of the mountain and down at the water and "realized" how far up I was, I was freakin out.

My feet were grabbing the floor like I was about to fall off the mountain and then I eventually did.

This is the next big thing!

You can literally be anywhere and doing anything with this technology.

The real world is not there.

And now I believe more than ever, that just like we enter the virtual reality body and start to move around and interact in that make-believe world, so too our soul enters our human bodies and we are present in this material existence to experience the worldly wonders all around us.

But like the virtual world, this earthly world is the playground for our earthly bodies are just a temporary vessel for us to face challenges, learn, and grow.

When the time is up, our souls depart our bodies and return to its maker, just like when the virtual reality game is over and we are back here.

G-d is the greatest game-maker of them all, and we are copycats in every sense of the word.

The body is the vessel, and the soul is the essence. ;-)

Wardrobe Malfunction Or Stylish

So I got to personally witness a spectacular wardrobe malfunction today.

It's not often in Washington, D.C. that we get to see someone in a bright blue suit jacket with flowers.

Obviously, this is a pretty conservative dress town.

Some might call it rather style boring or even nerdy.

However, this brave guy went out on a limb and stood out like a sore DC thumbnail.

Actually, I believe it's nice to add some color, flair, and style and light up the room and the faces.

Too much gloominess and depression here at times.

I was so excited when someone actually called me "Happy Tie!"

Then everyone took a turn showing off their colorful socks to each other.

It takes so little to turn a room of people joyful and laughing.

Honestly, we need more of this, and why not be a contributor to people's happiness and smiling?
